The surgical treatment of hernias remains a mainstay of our practice. Over the last few years, we have incorporated laparoscopic inguinal and ventral hernia repairs to our armamentarium. We have expertise in complex abdominal wall reconstruction with patients’ own tissue in the separation of components technique as well as experience with biological mesh buttressing. We treat not only uncomplicated but also specialize umbilical, lnguinal, and ventral hernias, recurrent, incarcerated, and more complicated multifactorial hernias that have been sent to us from other surgeons in the city.

Laparoscopic, also minimally invasive, surgery is a specialized technique that allows surgeons to make several small incisions, insert small surgical tools and a camera so that the doctor can see inside the body to perform the surgery. As a result, the patient has a shorter recovery.

Single incision laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which the surgeon operates almost exclusively through a single entry point. Advantages of this surgical procedure is that there is less opportunity for patient scarring and infection.
